The Poppy Trail
After the success of our first Heritage Open Days event, we are already planning our next which will take place 11-12th September 2027
There are many ways to help out - big and small - click the link below to find out more
Commemorating fallen soldiers marked on family graves, veterans that came back and are buried in the graveyard and the VAD nurses at Shepley auxiliary hospital on Lane Head Rd.
​
We are also researching others that contributed towards the war effort such as the women that spent hundreds of hours making bandages and care packages for the front lines.
We hope to have permanent plaques for those we have photographs off, donations can be made on our HD8 History site or through Deborah.
